Pick from 6 services from the sunrise service at 6:30 am, Family Easter Celebration at Dover-Foxcroft Farm at 10 AM, or choose one of the services at 9 or 11:15 AM. Hey [name]! I’m going to celebrate Easter on Sunday, April 20, at [time] Spring Hill Baptist Church. I’d love for you to come with me! Do you have Easter plans?

 

Hey! I’m up at church today and they just announced all they’re doing on Easter Sunday. Sounds like it’s going to be amazing. Does your family have plans this Easter?

 

I’m at Spring Hill this morning and heard they’re doing a big Easter egg hunt for the kids at Dover. Do you want to bring the kids?

Tips for Inviting Others

PLAN EASTER VISIT

Invitation matters! Celebrate the story that changed everything with your friends and family. Here are a couple of tips:

 

  1. 1. Invite your friends and family to the services or activities YOU plan to attend.
  2. 2. Consider their family rhythms. Early risers? Sunrise service. Outdoorsy friends? Prayer Walk at Dover-Foxcroft. Have kids? Invite them to the Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt! Enjoy quiet spaces for reflection? Good Friday Communion & Reflection

 

  1. 3. Be yourself – Don’t overthink things! Ask in a way that feels natural to how you usually speak.

 

  1. 4. Think of people in other circles – Coworkers, neighbors, social media groups, friends, or family group chats.

 

  1. 5. Consider in-person or online – Opportunities to invite people (including virtual): text or call, email, social media DM, reshare posts from @shbcfamily, create your own social media post, or invite people as weekend plans come up. Spring Hill will be live online at the Sunrise Service ~6:30 AM and 9:00 AM on Facebook and YouTube.

 

  1. 4. Identify a need – Think about people who need community or resources. You never know what people are going through unless you ask. You can show the love of Jesus this Easter season and be the light people need in a dark world.
  2. 5. Keep it Simple- You can also share the Spring Hill Text line: Text EASTER to 434-423-5300

 

If the person you invited accepts, that’s great! Attend or watch the Sunday message at the same time as the person you invited if you are able, and then check in with them afterward on their thoughts on the service. If they decline, don’t get discouraged. Continue to pray for them and show up for them the way Jesus would.
