June Update from Mrs. Chris

Dear Families,

As we close an amazing week of VBS, a week full of energy, joy, love, and the presence of the Holy Spirit, I thank you. Thank you for being willing to participate, lead, feed, serve, play, encourage, worship, and make this week one that our children wanted to be a part of and one that many asked to have continued.

If you are missing VBS, I encourage you to try our Kid’s Club. We meet each Sunday morning from 10 to 11 am. The Kid’s Club opens with praying, singing, and dancing. It then moves into teams that watch a fun video about the Bible lesson, hear the story from the Bible, learn a verse in a fun way, and have a craft or make something fun.

While the kids are in the club, the parents and caretakers meet in a fantastic small group that has great energy and connection. Afterward, they move down to get the kids and usually end up outside on the playground before heading to lunch.

If you want more information, please feel free to contact me. We are always happy to add to our church family.

Family Event

Family Cookout and Baptism

Where: Chris Greene Lake Park

When: July 15th from 10 am until 1:00 pm

This will be the second annual picnic and baptism in the park. Last year we were able to bless the community by offering them food, having conversations, and baptizing one of our young believers. It was a beautiful day of connection and celebration.

Please RSVP for the cookout and contact me or the church if you are interested in being baptized at this event.

Salvation Is Here

Salvation Is God’s Gift

Ephesians 2:8-9

Memory Verse

“God’s grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn’t come from anything you do. It is God’s gift.” Ephesians 2:8, NIrV

Virtue:

Faith-Trusting and believing in what you can’t see because of what you can see.

Basic Truth:

I can trust God no matter what.

Devotional

READY, SET, MOVE!

Because we trust in what we cannot see.

Parent Cue

Follow Jesus here, there, and everywhere.

Toddlers through Kindergarten

Jesus is a gift for everyone.

SALVATION IS GOD’S GIFT

Ephesian 2:8-9

MEMORY VERSE

“Jesus said, ‘Come follow me.’”

MATTHEW 4:19, NCV

Key Question and Bottom Line

Who wants to be your friend forever?

Jesus wants to be your friend forever.

Truth:

Jesus loves you and wants to be your friend and Savior.

While your children are home, I would recommend we all make use of the devotionals within each week’s email. They are well done and easy for children to understand.

Joyfully,

Mrs. Chris
