October is here, and that means fall is here! Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. The arrival of fall means we can expect colorful leaves, fun fall activities, and treats. We know what to expect during the fall season and look forward to all the activities. Yet, I remember when I was a student and going to youth group for the first time and not being sure what to expect. I hope to paint a picture for you of what you and your family can expect from the student ministry here at Spring Hill! In this month’s update, I will share what you can expect from the student ministry here at Spring Hill!
What is Student Ministry
You may be wondering what student ministry even is. When you think of student ministry, you may just picture people reading the Bible, praying, or even worshipping. You may think that there is nothing else to it. I am here to tell you that there is so much more to student ministry here at Spring Hill! Student ministry includes small group Bible study, Sunday evening fusion, volunteer and service projects, and other social activities!

Where to start
There are so many ways to be involved with the student ministry at Spring Hill! No matter how you heard about the student ministry here at Spring Hill, we want to say hello and welcome you! All you need to do is text YOUTH to 434-423-5300 or click this link! On a Sunday, you can come to a small group, Fusion, or one of our worship services! Small group meets on Sunday mornings at 10:15! The theme for this month is Unafraid. When we have God on our side, we have nothing to fear! Worship services happen each Sunday at 9 and then at 11:15 AM. On October 6th, we will have our Fusion Fall Fest at Dover-Foxcroft Farm from 6-7:30 PM. Fusion is our evening worship and hang-out time. This Sunday, we will have all kinds of fall games and treats! There will be no Fusion on the 13th or the 20th. On the 27th, we have a community-wide event called Trick or Trunk! This is a great way to get involved! We would love to have you come to this event at Dover-Foxcroft Farm! If you would be interested in volunteering, you can do that too! Coming up next weekend is the Fall Retreat, if you signed up for the fall retreat, I will send out more information this week!
