Spring Hill Baptist Church is a longstanding partner in the community! We are located near the Greene and Albemarle County line just off Route 29. Serving our community since 1886! Historical records share members began meeting as early as 1850 and officially joined the Baptist General Assembly in 1856.
From the Spring Hill Baptist Church Meetings Book, 1854-1873; it's recorded that "around 1850, a body of believers gathered under the chestnuts and oaks at the headwaters of Marsh Run on the north end of Poindexter's Mountain (Piney Mountain) on a ridge called Spring Hill. Tradition holds that they met under a shed formerly occupied by a sawmill."
