Pampering Day

The Third Annual Pampering Day  was held November 7th at Frays Mill.  Included in this year's event was a Flu Shot Clinic, sponsored by Maxim Health Care. Low-income women from Greene County were treated to a day of free hair cuts, massages, manicures and facials,. Everyone attending received a gift bag of goodies to take home. A soup and sandwich lunch was served. Many local helping agencies had personnel on hand and exhibits of the care they provide.

Beth Moore Live in Richmond - 2010

Beth Moore will appear live, August 27-28th, at the Richmond Coliseum. Tickets are available now for $60 each. The Women's Ministry Team is looking for someone who can head up this event, cooridinating tickets, hotel reservations and transportation. It is recommended that we pursue tickets as soon as possible. Contact Mary.

Ongoing project: GRACE Organization

Please help us keep their food pantry (non-perishable food items) and supply closets (paper products, cleaning supplies, baby products) full. Donate products at any Spring Hill site and we will deliver them to GRACE.

Simple ways to make a difference

  • Ask the grocery store clerk for the name of his/her favorite candy bar, and then purchase it for him/her.
  • Flash a really big smile at someone and don’t stop until they return one to you.
  • Pull your neighbors’ garbage cans into their driveways at the end of trash day.
  • Tell someone “Thank You!”, who may not normally receive thanks for the jobs they do (receptionist, maintenance worker, etc.)
  • Pray for the person(s) in the car next to you at a stoplight.
  • Buy the meal for the person in the car behind you at the drive-thru.
  • Listen, really listen, by giving someone your undivided attention.
  • Reach out and touch someone as you pass them in the hallway. A simple pat on the shoulder can go a very long way.
  • Ask your waiter or waitress how you can pray for him/her, and then do it.
  • Keep small surprises in your purse, and then share one with a tired child who is out shopping with his mother. Always ask for permission first.

 Proverbs 30:24-28 says,

Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer; coneys are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces.
