Mission Statement - Tuesdays Together will provide opportunities for parent-preschooler interaction through creative praise and worship activities, designed to bring others to know the wonders of God’s love. This program is open to everyone in our community.

About the Courses: Courses will begin at 9:30 am and conclude at 11:30 am. We’ll offer two 45-minute classes with a snack provided in between. All courses are parent-preschooler (age 3-5) learning experiences with toddler cooperative care available.  A $25 family registration fee per semester covers all course materials, supplies and morning snacks. All of our snacks are peanut free. Check our website for online payment or bring check or cash on Tuesday September 14th. The courses each last 6 weeks during the school year. The first quarter courses from September 14th – October 19th. The second quarter courses run from October 26th- December 7th.  Tuesdays Together follows the Albemarle County School’s inclement weather policy. If schools are cancelled or delayed, Tuesdays Together will be cancelled. November 2nd we will be closed for Albemarle County Schools break.

Toddler Cooperative Care- this spring we are excited to continue a childcare cooperative for younger siblings. As soon as siblings are mobile, they are welcome to explore their surroundings in our safe, fun environment. Toddler Care will be staffed with the same familiar face each week and parents will volunteer as assistants. The number of volunteering opportunities depends upon registration numbers. Please see our preschool policy about sick children and allergy concerns. Our co-op coordinator will be in touch with you after February 9th to schedule dates.

First Quarter Classes

Oceans of Fun- We just can’t let go of summer! This summer spirited class will focus on a different ocean animal each week. We will create all kinds of fishy art, play with hermit crabs and there maybe even be a sand castle or two!

Preschooler Yoga - Eliza Whiteman is back this fall to teach our families how to bend, stretch
and breathe deep! Eliza became a certified children’s yoga instructor this summer and we can’t wait to see what new tricks she has up her sleeve.

KinderPraise - KinderPraise is a parent-child praise and worship class. We will sing songs, experiment with instruments, and praise God with creative movement. This quarter our adventure takes us to the 6 regions of God’s wonderful world. We’ll walk like polar bears, swing like monkeys, and shout our Praises.

Second Quarter Classes

Dr Seuss - Left foot left foot, right foot right, feet in the day and feet at Tuesdays Together! This class will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ contribution to children’s literature through stories, arts and crafts.

Eric Carle Studies - We will study author and illustrator Eric Carle with arts, games, music, and prayer. Awesome take home activities available each week.

Space - Calling all space rangers come in space rangers! This class will explore the beauty and majesty of God’s first Creation. From Genesis and the first light to the star that marked Jesus’ arrival we’ll draw, explore and sing about the night sky.

Registration
When registering, please rank course preference for each quarter. We will do our best to accommodate your top choices. Each family may participate in up to two courses each quarter. If you have more than one preschooler participating, please complete a registration for each child. Our registration fee of $25 is per family. Preschoolers should be age 3 by September 30, 2010 in order to enjoy the developmentally designed activities. If you have any Tuesday Together questions please email smerguson@msn.com
